I had an overall lovely stay at Villa Duangchampa. The location is perfect for exploring Chiang Mai, especially with the Sunday night market just outside. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience enjoyable, although the breakfast service could be inconsistent. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, adding to the charm of the place.
Rooms

My room was large and nicely furnished, with a good sun room that offered extra space. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated the charming decor, although the showerhead wasn’t as convenient as I would have liked.
Service
8.0
While the staff were generally friendly, their helpfulness with recommendations and breakfast menu varied. Tony, in particular, stood out for his kindness and local advice, which made my stay more enjoyable.
Location

The hotel's central location in the Old City was amazing! I could easily walk to various temples, restaurants, and attractions, all within a short distance. It was also close to shops like Boots and 711, which was convenient.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was basic but nice, with a standout Thai curry option that I particularly enjoyed. However, the quality of dining experiences varied based on staff. The restaurant/bar had live music on certain nights, which added to the ambiance.
Facilities

The hotel offered several useful facilities like laundry services and tour assistance, making my stay more comfortable. It felt like a homely place rather than a luxury hotel.

My experience at Villa Duangchampa was enjoyable, though not without its quirks. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Chiang Mai, with easy access to attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made my stay feel special. However, the lack of an elevator and occasional noise from the street did detract a bit from the overall stay.
Rooms

I loved my room on the third floor with a balcony, offering a cozy ambiance and beautiful views. However, the lack of fluffy towels was noticeable, and the stairs could be a challenge without an elevator.
Service

The staff were lovely and provided excellent service. They even prepared a packed breakfast for my early morning tour. Their helpful suggestions made navigating the city much easier.
Location

Situated at the center of the Old City, the location was superb. I was within walking distance to many attractions, and the nearby Sunday night market was a good experience, despite the occasional noise.
Dining

Breakfast was simple but sufficient, featuring local fruits, yogurt, and the best bread I've had with blueberry jam. It was a lovely way to start the day while watching the world go by.
Facilities

The hotel offered a range of services, including car and tour assistance. However, the hot tub was a bit misleading, taking too long to fill and the bathroom had intermittent unpleasant smells.

I had a fantastic stay at Villa Duangchampa, with its charming colonial architecture and warm, smiling staff. My room was spacious, filled with light, and equipped with a super king-size bed that was incredibly comfortable. While the breakfast selection could use more variety, it was sufficient to energize me for the day ahead. The Sunday market atmosphere with live music was a highlight, making the location truly vibrant, though it did mean some noise during the night.

I loved my spacious room with a bright balcony, featuring a large flatscreen TV and great Wi-Fi. The air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was equipped with all the necessary amenities, although some facilities felt a tad dated.
Service

The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the temples and markets on foot. Being right in the heart of the Old City made it easy to dive into the local culture.

I enjoyed my breakfast, particularly the Thai curry, which was delicious and kept me fueled for my day. Though the breakfast options were somewhat limited, it was still more than adequate.

The hotel offers car hire and tour assistance, which added convenience to my stay. There was also a welcoming atmosphere with live music, especially on Sundays, but I felt some state-of-the-art updates could enhance the experience further.

I had a lovely stay at Villa Duangchampa, embracing its homey feel and charming atmosphere. The location was fantastic, being close to the Sunday market and various amenities, though I did encounter a few challenges like mosquitoes and a tub issue. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with great food and music, but a pool would have made it even better.
Rooms

I stayed in a family room with two beds, and while the rustic style was charming, I noticed the fit of the doors allowed mosquitoes to sneak in. The beds were firm and comfortable, which I appreciated, but I struggled with the shower head design.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and reacted to my needs when I requested mosquito coils. However, some service felt a bit reactive rather than proactive, especially regarding the clogged tub issue that took time to resolve.
Location

The hotel was in a prime spot, deep in the heart of old town Chiang Mai, and I loved the easy access to local shops, restaurants, and the weekend market. Catching a tuk-tuk or songtao was convenient too.
Dining

I enjoyed the breakfasts, especially the American option with homemade bread and yummy jam. The Thai food was great and affordably priced, making dining here a treat.
Facilities

While the hotel had several nice facilities, I missed having a pool, especially during the hot weather. Otherwise, the atmosphere and available services were satisfactory.

My stay at Villa Duangchampa was a blend of charm and some challenges. The rustic vibe of the hotel and its friendly staff really stood out, yet there were a few areas needing attention. The location is excellent for exploring Chiang Mai, but noise from live music can be quite loud at night.
Rooms

I loved my spacious room with a separate sitting area. The décor was a beautiful mix of rustic and classy with plenty of natural light. However, I did encounter some missing amenities like cups for tea and issues with the hot water in the bathroom.
Service

The staff were mostly friendly and greeted me warmly. Although they were not very attentive, I appreciated their laid-back approach. I was a bit disappointed that no assistance was offered for carrying my bags up the stairs.
Location

Staying in the heart of Chiang Mai made it great for walking to nearby attractions. The convenience of shops and restaurants nearby was fantastic, though the area can get a bit noisy at night. The live music added a fun atmosphere but might not suit everyone's taste.
Dining

The breakfast included some delicious homemade bread and fruits, which I appreciated. I wish there were more options available, like espresso instead of just a Nespresso machine. Overall, it was adequate but could use improvement.
